Amy Recinos – Cake Artist & Instructor
The objective of my business is to provide a high quality, professionally decorated, custom cake and personal service for customers. My cakes not only look wonderful but also taste wonderful. I make edible art.
My talent comes from my love of baking at an early age. As a teen I would bake for friends and family. I hold a BS in Marketing and a BA in Business from DeSales University.
In 2004 I was trained by Wilton Industries and started teaching Cake Decorating Classes. I taught the Wilton Method of cake decorating for 11 years at Michael’s Arts and Crafts in Quakertown. Since then, I taught over 2,200 students the art of cake decorating in Quakertown and the surrounding areas. Currently, I teach classes for the Upper Dublin Parks and Recreation Program, Palisades Evening School Program and out of my home. To keep current with trends and further my skills, I attend classes with renowned sugar artists from around the world.
With the demand for a higher quality cake and my passion in the art of cake decorating, Amy’s Creative Cakes opened in June 2006. I offer made from scratch specialties which included wedding cakes, special occasion cakes, cupcakes, custom cookies and homemade candy. I now serve many repeat customers from Bucks and Montgomery counties and surrounding areas.
In 2009, I organized a cake competition to benefit the Quakertown Food Pantry. I have also judged a live cake competition at the Cove Country Cake Show in 2011. All proceeds from this show benefit the American Cancer Society. Since 2013 I organize the Quakertown Cupcake Competition held during the Autumn Alive Festival in October. This competition helps raise funds to enhance the downtown Quakertown area.
I participate in competitions on a national level competing in cake design, baking and cookies. To view a complete list of awards received and some photos of my award winners click here.
I am a proud member of ICES (International Cake Exploration Societe), and the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
